The crew of the USS Ranganathan have analysed the attacks on Chatopra. After they alerted Starfleet medical that they had found a plant that would allow for animals to at least stop spreading they virogen the were attacked. The attackers focused on the communication devices at the colony and on the ship effectively disconnecting the Ranganathan from thew rest of Starfleet, and a Vulcan was found to be piloting one of the Orion pirate ships that made the attacks. The crew have decided to warp to Vulcan and investigate a possible threat within the Federation.
