I forgot how much criticism there was during the 1991 gulf war. The critiques kind of got lost in 2001. It wasn’t known to people because it was successful, it was known because it was highly televised—though, I don’t remember any moments like this in the ‘reporting’ during the war. That was likely part of the critique the movie was making. I also forgot how much this movie challenged the War. I am curious if anyone would do a movie like this for the war in Afghanistan for 9/11. I doubt it.
